| Does God care about me? |

If so maybe you are thinking like an adult, rather than a child. In Matthew 18:3, Jesus says that unless we become like a little child, we won't be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
A child knows that the parent who looks lovingly down at them does so with love. We can't earn the love our parents gave to us as little babies. We didn't earn the way they saw us when we were little. When it comes to God, it's the same thing. We need to be like children and accept that He loves us just the way we are. If we act like an adult and try to earn His love through what we do or accomplish, we will miss the main point. You do not have to impress God for Him to care about you. Like lots of silly things we do, we try to make knowing God more complicated than it is. Nothing is simpler than accepting that He cares about you. What is wrong with accepting that? It is the truth. Fear, however, is not the truth. Most wrong ideas about God come from fear. Fear is not good, it is the enemy of relationships. Fear keeps us from many good things. It can keep us from knowing God. Fortunately there is a fear-remover that works 100%. 1 John says, Perfect love casts out fear. Perfect love allows us to stand at the edge of the ocean of God's love, feel overwhelmed, but not be afraid. Lack of fear allows us to have a relationship with God. We begin to realize He cares about us. A trust begins. We see He is a friend. Did He ever create a flower and then look at it and say, I don’t like that? There is no reason to worry if you are pleasing to God. He cares about you just because He made you. When He sees you, He is happy. You bring Him pleasure just because you exist. You do not need to do anything to make Him proud because He is proud of you already. If you accept this truth that God cares about you, you can walk out the door in the morning and push it with confidence, knowing that the day is good. The future is good. You are loved by God and can overcome every challenge and obstacle. Accepting that we are cared for by God gives us a correct image of ourselves and a correct image of ourselves helps us experience life, and as anyone knows, life is brought to life by love.
