Knowing God is knowing forgiveness. They are one and the same. The more we understand the nature of forgiveness, the more we understand God. If someone asks, what is God like, look at Jesus. He prayed for those who tried to destroy Him. Forgiveness and love touch, taste, feel and smell the same. They have the same effects.

Something funny happened recently in Japan. Someone left large amounts of cash in public bathrooms as anonymous gifts. This same person has also deposited envelopes of money in people’s apartment building mailboxes. The funny thing is, when the people are interviewed, no one is happy. They feel imposed upon, like they have some obligation to someone they don’t know if they keep the money. So the cash is being turned in to the police as lost property even though everyone knows it’s a gift.
Sometimes it seems difficult to receive a gift like this because it is truly a gift. A true gift can’t be repaid. In Japan, it is a custom, which is often gracious, for gifts to be responded to by giving back another gift of roughly equal value in return. If an equal return gift can’t be given, it can cause stress. This is a common anxiety that people face.

When we look at ourselves, what do we see? Chances are we are looking at hairstyles, complexions or body fat. Everytime we look in the mirror, we probably want to know whether we are attractive or not. But these things don’t define us. God wants us to look into the significance of us as His creation because hope comes from our identity.
In this way, the best proof of God is you. One designer made you; He made you perfect. You show His creativity. When people talk about diversity, God deserves a royalty for use of that word. You are God’s unique work for which nature is a sketch. You are more valuable to Him than the Moon. God would rather see the Moon fall out of its orbit than have you live and die without knowing Him because the Moon is just a rock. You are His child. Because you are His child, you bear His image in how you were made.

INVITATION
It's easy for you to begin a relationship with God right now. He does not require you to be perfect or even a "good" person to know Him. He accepts anyone who accepts His Son Jesus.
If you are not sure you know Him, God's plan is that whoever you are, whatever you are doing and thinking, that you would take the step of salvation and begin a relationship with Him today.
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus died for your sins, and believe in your heart that He rose from the dead, you are saved. (Romans 10:19). This is a promise from God. He does not break promises. If you want to say "Yes" to God right now, please follow along with this prayer and say it from you to Him:
Dear Jesus, I admit I need you.
Please come into my life and heart right now.
You died for my sins and rose again.
I accept your new life and Holy Spirit today.
In your name I pray, Amen.
If you have just prayed this prayer,
